Who, in fact, are we?If you have gone through all sections of our website, you might have found out, according to our adresses, that we do not come from one certain location and that there are quite a lot of us. It is possible to say, that we are a group of 40 young people from all over Moravia (eastern part of Czech Republic). But „young“ is even a wide term. Imagine therefore final years of basic school, than all forms at secondary schools and all university forms as well. Roughly speaking, you can find us there in locations like Odry, Hranice, Olomouc, Nový Jičín, Prostějov, Brno, Kroměříž, Ostrava and other similar to those former. And this is not the end. Althoug most of us are students, there are also workers among us.

Our band came into existence twelve years ago (spring 1996) in Odry which lies in the center part of Moravia. That time the band was not as numerous as nowadays – it consisted of 15 yougsters from Odry and near–by Spálov. No sooner than in September did the membership widen concerning people and localities they came from.

The variety of our homelands is priceless for us. We still have a lot of matters to discuss, a lot of to share. So it is quite common that after leaving homes for our „weekend“ once in three weeks we fill the whole Friday with meeting and cheering, chating about news, new experiences, about things that bring us joy or take it away. Not until Saturday Jirka is able to take over the speech and remind us of our unity of interest and the work we all are called to. So let´s buckle down to singing and playing and Saturday is over. Early Sunday morning, full of new melodies we fall asleep so that two, three or four hours later we could wake up and be prepared to spread joy not only each other but also to all those we meet and recognise throu our gummy eyes. Yes, that´s we – PAPRSKY. Always jolly bunch of kids who have a pursuit to do something good.

But don´t you worry. Weekend rehearsing is not the peak of our activities. In public you can see us at our concerts, doing some voluntary jobs or other playing for love. In a section Concerts you may find all the places where we are going to play in the nearest future.
